Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I made this card for my neighbor. She had an open house yesterday so I wanted to bring a small gift with a card.

This card uses Cheers To You and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets. The champagne glasses were embossed with VersaMark ink and Black Stampin Emboss powder on Brushed Silver card stock.
For those of you who haven’t embossed a project yet these are a few quick tips:
1. Rub a Stampin’Up Embossing Buddy over your card stock. This reduces the static on the card stock and prevents excess powder from sticking to areas you don’t wont it to.
2. Stamp your image with VersaMark ink or a Stampin’Up Craft ink. I used VersaMark ink.
3. Pour embossing powder over top of your image and shake off excess powder. I used Black Stampin Emboss powder. With a colored Craft ink pad use Clear Emboss powder.
4. With a Heat Tool, heat the Stampin emboss powder until it melts. Keep your Heat Tool in one place until you see the powder melting. Then slowly move the heat tool around until all the powder is melted. Let it dry for a few seconds before touching it.
The image was punched out with 1-3/4″ circle punch. I added two black scallop circles to the back of the Champagne glass image.
I also embossed the greeting the same way and punched it out with the modern label punch. I layered it onto the Scallop Oval punch.
The Crushed Curry card stock was texturized with the new Stampin’Up Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions folder. I layered it onto Black card stock that had one edge punched out with the Eyelet Border punch. This was layered onto Basic Gray card stock.
I hope you like it!
Happy Stamping,
Karina
