This is a card I saw at the Phoenix leadership conference. We made this at my Monday and Wednesday card class this month. If you look carefully, you can see the polka dots at the top of the card.
It uses the new Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. You’ll notice that only the top part of the Whisper White card stock is embossed. My friend Gail kindly showed me how to do this. Place the Whisper White card stock in the Impressions Folder. When you run it through the Big Shot die cut machine use the multi purpose platform turned to tab 1, a plastic cutting pad, the embossing folder and a second plastic cutting pad but only cover the top half of the embossing folder. As it goes through the Big Shot, only the top part of the card will be embossed.
The Designer Series paper is called Pink Flamingo from the Idea Book & Catalog. Melon Mambo 1/2″ Polka Dot Grosgrain was wrapped around the card.
The cake image is from the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Happy Moments. It was stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White card stock and colored in with Pretty in Pink, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Tempting Stampin’ Write makers.
