Faux Suede Meets Vintage Vogue!

I’m back from leadership and trying to catch up with some of my posts. This is a quick card I made last week and thought I would post. I’ll post some leadership pictures tomorrow.

I love this new stamp set called Vintage Vogue. There’s so many cute card that can be made with it. I wanted to try a technique called Faux Suede. To create the Faux suede look, I used So Saffron card stock and tore it into a circular shape. I ran my bone folder over the back and front of the card stock to help break down some of the fibers. Eventually you can see two layers of card stock that can be separated. Rich Razzleberry ink was sponged around the edges. I stamped “Friends in Rich Razzleberry ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out. A clear Rhinestone brad was added to the Friends image and it was attached over the Faux Suede circle.
The base of the card is Old Olive card stock cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded in half. I added some Bermuda Bay card stock to it that was stamped with the flower and vine image from Vintage Vogue stamp set and White craft ink.
The middle layer is So Saffron Patterns Designer Series paper with an Old Olive ribbon attached to it. I used 5/8″ Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon that was folded and held together with mini glue dots.
The bottom layer is Rich Razzleberry card stock with flowers stamp in Rich Razzleberry ink. The bottom edge was made with the Eyelet border punch.
The greeting is also from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and was stamped on Whipser White card stock in Rich Razzleberry ink.
This was a really fun card to make.
Happy Stamping,
Karina
