Watercolor Melon: Free card tutorial

Today, I’m thrilled to share with you a fantastic project that will take your card-making skills to the next level. In this blog post, you will learn how to make a stunning Fancy Fold Card using the beautiful Watercolor Melon stamp set. And the best part? I have a free video tutorial to guide you through each step of the process. Let’s dive in!

  1. Materials Needed:
    To stamp along with me gather the following materials:
  • Watercolor Melon & Sketched Plaid stamp set
  • Cardstock
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Adhesive (double-sided tape or glue)
  • Bone folder
  • Ink Pads: Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Memento Black
  1. Step-by-Step Instructions:
    Now, let’s get crafty! Follow these simple steps to create your own fancy fold card:
  2. Step 1: Prepare the Card Base. Cut your card stock 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″ score at 2-3/4″ and 4-1/4″.
  3. Step 2 : Cut at 2-3/” from the bottom edge to the score line. Make a diagonal score line on the square sections.
  4. Step 3: Fold the card stock in half and glue down the 1-1/2″ section.
  5. Step 4: Stamp images on the 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ sections and attach to 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ Shaded Spruce card stock. Attach as shown in the video.
  6. Step 5: Stamp a sentiment on 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ Basic White card stock and attach to the 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ Shaded Spruce card stock. Attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
