Bashful Blue With All My Heart Card!

I thought it was time to post another card. It’s amazing how time flies when you’re playing video games, watching movies and eating food over the holidays!

I made this card a while ago and it sat unfinished on my desk. Sometimes I need to let a project sit before I finally figure out how to finish it.

This is a new stamp set called With All My Heart from the new Occasions Mini catalog. We can place orders from the new mini on January 5. I bought this beautiful stamp set because it coordinates with a new flower punch and I need to make 12 swaps to take with me to the upcoming Pheonix leadership conference. I found out after I signed up for the swap that the punch isn’t available until January 5. I was very sad because I LOVE my punches!!!! I had to get creative and come up with some card designs where I didn’t have to hand cut the main image. This card is one of the designs I came up with.
I started with Night of Navy card stock for the card base. The dimensions are 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4 -1/4″ and folded in half. I attached Night of Navy 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon with a Styled Silver Ribbon Slide from the HodgePodge hardware kit to the Bashful Blue card stock and attached it to the night of Navy card base. “Friend” was stamped in Night of Navy craft ink and embossed with Clear Stampin emboss powder and a Heat Tool.
Four flowers were stamped on Bashful Blue patterns designer series paper in Brocade Blue ink. The corners of the Bashful Blue designer series paper were punched out with a Ticket Corner punch and layered onto Whisper White and Night of Navy card stock. This was attached to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Four little flowers were stamped in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the Trio Flower punch. These flowers were centered over the large Brocade Blue flowers. A glue dot was placed in the center of each flower and Dazzling Diamonds glitter was sprinkled over top. I used my paper piercing tool to help transfer the glue dot to the flowers which helped keep the circle shape of the glue dot.
I ordered this set in Clear Mount style to try it out. I found it a little bit tricky to set up but I love how the image stamps. Very Clear and crisp!
I’ll be posting many more samples with this set.
Happy Stamping,
Karina
