This is one one the swaps I’m taking to leadership in Phoenix. I leave Tuesday and can’t wait. I’ve never been before but hear it’s lots of fun.
I find the hardest part of designing the card is picking the color combinations. Stampin’Up has beautiful designer papers so when I’m in a rush I choose colors from the designer I’m using.
I chose Tall Tales Designer Series paper. The main colors are Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and So Saffron. I used Happy Moments stamp set which can be earned for free with a $65.00 order. If you get all the punches to make this card and a Chocolate Chip craft ink pad, you will earn the stamp set for FREE.
Chocolate Chip card stock makes up the base of this card. So Saffron card stock was put in the new Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder and the Big Shot die cut machine. The corners were punched with the Tag Corner punch.
Tall Tales designer series paper was cut out twice with the Clear Circle Bigz die and the Big Shot die cut machine. One of the circles was cut in half and the bottom edge was glued to the other circle leaving the top part open. This made a cute pocket for the tag to fit into to. You can use the Circle Scissor Plus tool instead of the Big Shot to cut the circles.
The tag was stamped on Kraft card stock with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed with a Heat Tool and Clear embossing powder. The corner was punched out with the Tag Corner punch and attached to Chocolate Chip card stock. The Crop-a-dile was used to punch a hole in the tag and some Kraft Taffeta ribbon was added. I love the bird cage image and this new Happy Moments stamp set. TOO CUTE!!!!
The greeting was stamped with Chocolate Chip craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing powder on Kraft card stock. It was punched out with the Large Oval punch and attached to Chocolate Chip card stock that was punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch.
The white dots were made with the Signo White gel pen.
I hope they like my swap in Phoenix.
Happy Stamping,
Karina
