This is a card we made at my monthly card class. I gave everyone a choice to try the ribbon flower or the red medallion with new Chocolate Chip Sending Love Epoxy Brad.
This is the recipe:
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Sending Love Specialty designer series paper
Ink: Very Vanilla Craft, Real Red & Chocolate Chip Classic
Stamps: With All My Heart
Accessories: Real Red Corduroy button or Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brad, Sticky Pages, 3/4″ Real Red Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Crimper Tool
Punches: Modern Label, Word Window, Eyelet Border punch and 1-3/8″ circle punch or scallop circle, trio flower and 1-1/4″ circle punch
To make the ribbon flower, cut 2 pieces of 1″ x 8 1/2″ Very Vanilla card stock. Use the Eyelet border punch on the edge of each card stock strip. Run both pieces through the paper crimper. Take your 1-3/8″ circle punch and try to punch through a Sticky page. It won’t go all the way through so you’ll need to finish cutting the sticky page with some scissors. Peel off the liner on one side of the sticky page circle. Start attaching the Very Vanilla card stock strip to the outer edge of the sticky page, gathering the card stock to go around the circle. One the circle is complete, continue to gather the card stock and make a second layer of card stock working in toward the center. You will need both pieces of card stock to complete the circle. The Real Red Corduroy button hides any spaces in the center of the flower.
It’s a fun technique and would be great for scrap book pages.
Happy Stamping,
Karina
